AMC MD-DD can be used stand-alone with DVD players, personal computers, game consoles, VCR's, and other audio sources requires hi-quality Dolby Digital and Dolby Pro-Logic decoding to generate a whole three-dimensional sound fields. |
The AMC model MD-DD is designed to meet professional quality standards for Dolby Pro-Logic, Dolby Digital decoding and video switching between the internal decoded outputs and external decoded inputs.
Dolby Pro-Log and Dolby Digital decoding are accomplished by the Zoran ZR38500 Digital Signal Processor with AMC in house special designed softwares and hardwares. This is accliamied worldwide as having the finest sonic quality of any currently available device for decoding Dolby Pro-Logic and Dolby Digital motion picture sound tracks.
With the microphone supplied, a simple calibration procedure can be made that sets the balance of all six channels to an accuracy of less than +/-1dB.
Two Digital Inputs, one Stereo Audio Analog Inputs and six decoded audio inputs.
Six Audio Outputs.
Six Output Level pre-set controls precisely set the blance of each of the six output channels.
Switchable sub-woofer crossover filter.
Center channel mode control that provides Normal, Phantom and Wide Band center channel operation.
Center channel Time Alignment control that rpovides 0,1,2,3,4 and 5 ms delay of the cetner channel signal relative to left and Right Channels.

Control of surround channel delays of 15, 20, 25, and 30 ms for Dolby Pro-Logic mode and 0, 5, 10, and 15 ms for Dolby Digital mode.
Built-in calibration meter.
LED's inside window indicates channels giving outputs and which input selected (Stereo Audio Analog inputs or external decoded inputs or internal decoded outputs.)
Phones input jack on the front panel for headphone applications.
